The Big Story Every morning we'll come together to hear a master storyteller guide us through one of the great stories from around the world from the Kalevala (Ulla Suokko) to Jumping Mouse.
Performance At night, Mythic Journeys transforms into a Performance Arts Festival - concerts, theater, dance, film, drumming, and even a rock opera. Experience ecstatic poets Coleman Barks and Robert Bly accompanied by Armenian musicians, Tom Key as C.S. Lewis, African drummers, Finnish flautist and storyteller Ulla Suokko, Chief Jake Swamp, British actress Carran Waterfield as Godiva. And this is only a sampling of the international performances that are lined up.

Ulla will illustrate her talk by playing old melodies and other Finnish music, including her own improvisations based on Kalevalaic motifs on the kantele and a birch-bark flute, both ancient Finnish instruments, as well as on the modern flutes.
